Food Growing Garden

With the support of a Keep Wales Tidy Food Growing Garden development package, Little West began establishing this space for the community in January 2025.  This garden has been developed to benefit people and wildlife.

Wildflower turf and native hedging wrap around the perimeter of the garden to improve habitats and food sources to increase biodiversity.  With thanks to the Vale of Glamorgan Local Nature Partnership, we also have a hedgehog house and feeding station in the garden.

The garden is a fantastic resource to educate about improving biodiversity, and mitigating climate change.  The garden is also used to educate about growing fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Gardening, especially in a garden with views of the sea, sheep and hens has many health and wellbeing benefits.
